Woodill Motors, established by Blanchard Robert "Woody" Woodill in Downey, California, produced the Woodill Wildfire from 1952 to 1958.
The Wildfire holds the distinction of possibly being the first fiberglass-bodied car available to the public. Woodill, a Dodge and Willys dealer, initially aimed to create a sports car using Willys mechanicals.
A lesser-known tale involves the Wildfire's connection to Hollywood. Reportedly, several Wildfires were used in early television productions and movies due to their futuristic design and lightweight construction, making them ideal for stunts. One notable instance includes a Wildfire appearing in the film "Johnny Dark" in 1954.
