Winton was a pioneering US auto manufacturer, founded by Alexander Winton in 1897.
Winton is credited with selling the first commercially available US-made automobile in 1898.
The company was also among the first to offer a car for sale nationally.
Did you know that in 1903, Horatio Nelson Jackson made the first successful cross-country drive in a Winton? He had minimal car experience, and no maps. He followed railroad tracks and rivers, completing the journey in 63 days.
