Westfield, a British car manufacturer, emerged in 1982, founded by Chris Smith. Initially, they produced replicas of the Lotus Eleven.
A lesser-known tale involves Westfield's early days. Smith, passionate about motorsport, aimed to create affordable sports cars. He cleverly reverse-engineered a Lotus Eleven, improving its design. This led to legal challenges from Lotus, but Westfield prevailed, establishing itself as a legitimate manufacturer.
