Talbot-Darracq emerged from the fusion of French and British automotive ambitions. Alexandre Darracq, a prominent French entrepreneur, established his car company in 1896.
Later, amidst financial difficulties, Darracq was acquired by a British group in 1916, leading to the birth of Talbot-Darracq.
A lesser-known fact is that Talbot-Darracq cars achieved considerable success in motorsports, including winning the prestigious Tourist Trophy race in 1921 and 1922.
