Singer, initially a sewing machine company, ventured into automobiles in 1905.

Their cars gained popularity for affordability and reliability.

After World War II, Singer struggled, eventually becoming part of Rootes Group in 1956.

Rootes was later acquired by Chrysler, and the Singer marque was discontinued in 1970.

Did you know Singer cars were once assembled in Australia? From 1935 to 1967, Richard Allen & Sons in Melbourne built Singers, adapting them for local conditions.
