Reynard, founded in 1973 by Adrian Reynard, quickly became a dominant force in open-wheel racing.
Their chassis were highly successful, particularly in Formula Ford, Formula Three, and IndyCar. Reynard's innovative designs and engineering prowess led to numerous championship wins.
However, financial difficulties plagued the company, leading to its demise in 2002.
A little-known story: Reynard almost entered Formula One in the late 1980s. Initial plans existed, but the project was shelved due to funding issues, a missed opportunity for the racing giant.
