Rauch & Lang, an electric vehicle pioneer, emerged in 1905 in Cleveland, Ohio. Initially a carriage builder, the company transitioned to automobiles, catering to wealthy urbanites seeking quiet, clean transportation.
Their cars were known for luxurious interiors and smooth rides.
A little-known fact: Rauch & Lang briefly partnered with Baker Motor Vehicle Company in 1916, forming Baker, Rauch & Lang. This merger aimed to consolidate electric car production, but it was short-lived, dissolving in 1919 as gasoline-powered cars gained dominance.
