Osella was founded by Vincenzo Osella in Turin, Italy, in 1964. Initially, they focused on preparing Abarth cars for racing.
The company then developed its own sports prototypes, achieving success in hillclimbing events. Osella entered Formula 2 and Formula 1 in the 1980s.
