OSCA, Officine Specializzate Costruzioni Automobili, was founded in 1947 in San Lazzaro di Savena, Bologna, by the Maserati brothers, Ernesto, Ettore, and Bindo, after they left Maserati.
Their focus was building racing cars, achieving success in the 1950s and 60s.
A lesser-known tale involves OSCA's collaboration with Alejandro de Tomaso. In the early 1960s, de Tomaso, seeking to establish his brand, turned to OSCA for engine development. OSCA designed and built engines for early De Tomaso models, marking a brief but significant partnership.
