Orient Buckboards, produced in America from 1902-1909, were known for their simplicity and affordability.
The Waltham Manufacturing Company, makers of Orient bicycles, decided to produce a car. Their Buckboard was a minimalist vehicle, featuring a basic chassis and a single-cylinder engine.
A little-known fact: Orient Buckboards were once used by the U.S. Postal Service for rural mail delivery. Their lightweight design and maneuverability made them suitable for navigating rough roads.
