Motobecane, a French manufacturer, started in 1923 making metal items.
Later, they moved into bicycle production.
By the 1930s, Motobecane was a well-known bicycle brand.
Interestingly, Motobecane also produced motorcycles.
They were known for reliable, affordable transportation.
Did you know Motobecane almost became Peugeot? In the early 1980s, there were talks of a merger. Ultimately, it didn't happen, and Motobecane faced financial difficulties.
