Monteverdi, a Swiss luxury car brand, was founded by Peter Monteverdi in 1967.
He initially sold and serviced other brands.
Monteverdi decided to build his own cars when Ferrari wouldn't sell him a dealership.
The first model was the Monteverdi High Speed 375 S.
Production was limited, making them rare.
Did you know Monteverdi briefly built a Formula 1 car in 1990? It was unsuccessful and withdrawn after one race.
