Mochet, a French manufacturer, began by producing microcars after World War II. Charles Mochet initially gained fame for his lightweight, human-powered vehicles.
Post-war, with material shortages, Mochet transitioned to small, motorized vehicles. Their most notable model was the "Mochet CM 125 Y," a tiny, economical car.
A lesser-known fact: Charles Mochet was a strong believer in aerodynamic efficiency. He even designed record-breaking, enclosed bicycles in the 1930s. These bikes were so fast that cycling authorities banned them from competition. They argued that the design gave an unfair advantage. This same focus on aerodynamics influenced his later microcar designs.
