Maserati, established in Bologna, Italy, in 1914, by the Maserati brothers, initially focused on preparing Isotta Fraschini cars for racing.
Alfieri Maserati, the most prominent of the brothers, led the company to early racing successes.
After Alfieri's death in 1932, the remaining brothers continued the business, later selling it to the Orsi family in 1937.
Maserati achieved notable victories in Grand Prix racing, competing with dominant German teams in the pre-World War II era.
The 250F, driven by Juan Manuel Fangio, secured Maserati's last Formula One World Championship in 1957.
Did you know that in the 1960s, Maserati briefly produced a limited number of motorcycles? These bikes, known as the Maserati 50 and 125, were a collaboration with a motorcycle manufacturer.
