MAN, originally known as Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-Nürnberg, started in 1758. Initially, it focused on iron production.
Later, MAN shifted to transport, building its first truck in 1915.
A little-known fact: MAN built diesel engines for German U-boats during World War II. After the war, MAN diversified, producing buses and commercial vehicles, becoming a key player in the transport industry.
