Mack Trucks started in 1900. Brothers Jack and Gus Mack formed the Mack Brothers Company in Brooklyn, New York.

Initially, they made wagons and carriages, then shifted to trucks.

Their first successful truck, the "Old No. 1," was built in 1900. It was tough and reliable.

During World War I, Mack became famous for its AC model truck. British soldiers nicknamed it "Bulldog" for its toughness. The name stuck, and Mack adopted the bulldog as its symbol.

Mack focused on heavy-duty trucks. They became known for durability and strength.

Did you know that Mack actually built rail cars? In 1905, Mack built a gasoline-powered rail car for the New York Central Railroad. It was an early attempt to modernize rail transport.
