Lion-Peugeot emerged from a family dispute within the Peugeot dynasty in 1906. Armand Peugeot, focused on larger vehicles, clashed with his cousins Eugène, Pierre, and Robert Peugeot, who favored smaller cars.
The cousins formed "Les Fils de Peugeot Frères," producing cars under the Lion-Peugeot name. Their factory was in Beaulieu.
Interestingly, despite the family feud, both Peugeot companies co-existed for several years, even participating in the same races. Lion-Peugeot cars were known for their reliability.
Did you know that Lion-Peugeot actually outsold Armand Peugeot's cars for a period? It's a testament to their focus on the popular smaller car market.
