LDV started as Leyland DAF Vans, a British van manufacturer. It emerged after the 1987 merger of Leyland and DAF.
A little-known fact: LDV was once owned by a Russian company, GAZ, in 2006, but the deal didn't last, and LDV went into administration in 2009.
