LaSalle, a General Motors brand, was produced from 1927 to 1940. It was intended as a companion marque to Cadillac, filling a price gap.
Harley Earl, a stylist, penned the LaSalle, influencing automotive design.
A lesser-known story: GM initially planned for LaSalle to have its own distinct dealerships, separate from Cadillac. This idea was scrapped, integrating LaSalle into Cadillac dealerships. This decision impacted LaSalle's brand identity and market presence.
