Koenigsegg was founded in 1994 in Sweden by Christian von Koenigsegg, with the goal to create a world-class sports car. The first street-legal production car, the CC8S, was delivered in 2002.
Did you know that the Koenigsegg badge was created because Christian von Koenigsegg's family crest was unavailable? He then adopted the emblem of the former Swedish Air Force squadron that once occupied the company's facilities.
