FMR, or Fahrzeug- und Maschinenbau GmbH, emerged from Messerschmitt's post-war constraints.
Forbidden from aircraft production, Messerschmitt repurposed its engineering to create microcars.
The result was the Messerschmitt Kabinenroller, later rebranded as FMR after the company restructured.
FMR continued producing these bubble cars, like the KR200, until 1964, when production ceased.
