Ed Roth, a pivotal figure in Kustom Kulture, wasn't a car manufacturer. He was an artist and builder.
Roth gained fame in the late 1950s for his outlandish, custom cars. "Beatnik Bandit," with its bubble top, is iconic.
Roth's creations were more art than transportation. He used fiberglass and unconventional designs.
Did you know Roth initially made money airbrushing shirts at car shows? This led to pinstriping and eventually building cars.
