Dodge Brothers Company, founded by Horace and John Dodge, initially supplied parts to Detroit automakers.
They started building their own cars in 1914, quickly gaining a reputation for durability.
The brothers' untimely deaths in 1920 led to Chrysler's acquisition of Dodge in 1928.
Did you know that during WWI, Dodge Brothers produced military vehicles? Their reliability earned them the nickname "dependable." General Pershing even used a Dodge as his command car.
