Every Model
DeSoto, a Chrysler brand, existed from 1928-1961. Named after Spanish explorer Hernando de Soto, it aimed to fill a price gap between Plymouth and Dodge.
In 1934, DeSoto introduced the Airflow, a streamlined car. Despite its advanced design, the Airflow was not a commercial success.
A lesser-known fact: Chrysler considered selling DeSoto to Studebaker in 1938. The deal fell through, and DeSoto continued as a Chrysler brand.
