DB, or Deutsch Bonnet, emerged post-WWII in France, the brainchild of Charles Deutsch and René Bonnet.
Initially, they focused on modifying existing vehicles for racing, achieving success in the early 1950s.
Their cars were known for their lightweight construction and aerodynamic designs.
A lesser-known fact: DB cars achieved remarkable fuel economy. In the 1950s, a DB set a fuel consumption record, traveling from Paris to Nice on a ridiculously small amount of fuel. This feat showcased their engineering prowess beyond just speed.
