Daihatsu, a Japanese auto manufacturer, started in 1907 as Hatsudoki Seizo Co. It initially produced gas engines.
Later, they shifted to building vehicles, with their first three-wheeled truck appearing in 1930.
The company officially adopted the name Daihatsu in 1951.
Did you know Daihatsu played a role in early Japanese space exploration? They developed precision gyroscopes used in Japan's first artificial satellite, "Ohsumi," launched in 1970.
