DAF, a Dutch manufacturer, started building cars in the late 1950s.
They're known for their innovative continuously variable transmission (CVT), called Variomatic.
A little-known fact: DAF once supplied armored vehicles to the Swedish Army during the Cold War. These vehicles were highly regarded for their reliability and off-road capabilities.
