Crosley, an American car manufactured from 1939 to 1952, was the brainchild of Powel Crosley Jr., an industrialist who also made radios and refrigerators.
Crosley aimed to provide affordable, lightweight transportation. The cars were innovative, featuring engines like the CoBra (Copper Brazed), an engine that was inexpensive to produce.
A lesser-known story: During World War II, Crosley shifted production to support the war effort. They produced the "Crosley Pup," a lightweight utility vehicle for paratroopers. These little vehicles could be dropped from airplanes and used for reconnaissance and communication.
