Cisitalia, an Italian car manufacturer, was founded in the aftermath of World War II by Piero Dusio.
Dusio, a businessman and soccer player, aimed to revive Italy through motorsport.
The company's initial success came from racing, notably with the D46.
Cisitalia later collaborated with Porsche on the 360 Grand Prix car.
Financial difficulties led to its demise in the early 1960s.
