Aurora, a short-lived American car venture, was the brainchild of Father Alfred Juliano, a Catholic priest.
In 1957, Juliano envisioned a revolutionary safety car.
His design prioritized passenger protection, featuring a padded dashboard, seatbelts, and a roll cage.
The Aurora prototype, built on a 1953 Buick chassis, was striking, if unconventional.
Unfortunately, financial difficulties and design flaws plagued the project.
Only the single prototype was ever produced.
The Aurora faded into obscurity, a testament to ambitious dreams and harsh realities.
Few know that Juliano initially sought funding from major automakers, but they rejected his ideas.
