Ariel started as a bicycle maker in 1870. It wasn't until 1902 that they made their first car.
Ariel shifted focus after the Second World War to motorcycles. Then, in 2001, they launched the Atom, a minimalist sports car.
Did you know the Atom wasn't initially meant for production? It was a project at Coventry University. Simon Saunders, who was a design consultant, saw its potential and took it from concept to reality.
