CHEVROLET HOLDEN

The collaboration between Chevrolet and Holden began in the early 20th century, with Holden initially serving as a saddlery business in Australia. It later transitioned to assembling car bodies for various manufacturers, including Chevrolet.

In 1931, General Motors acquired Holden, leading to the creation of General Motors-Holden's Ltd. This partnership resulted in the production of vehicles that combined Chevrolet's engineering with Holden's local manufacturing expertise.

Holden became known for producing cars tailored to the Australian market, often based on Chevrolet platforms. The partnership continued for decades, producing iconic models.

In 2020, General Motors announced that the Holden brand would be retired in 2021, ending the long-standing collaboration. There is no direct successor.
