6650306 • Extremely rare model with a documented history • 2.7L Carrera engine producing 210 hp • Recently restored • One of only 20 built This car is exceptionally rare, as it is one of only 20 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 Targa models producing 210 hp, specially built in 1976 for the Belgian Gendarmerie.
After using 911E Coupés, the police wanted an open-top car to facilitate communication with drivers they stopped.
At that time, as the Carrera 2.7 was about to be replaced by the Carrera 3.0, Porsche offered the Belgian government a small series of Targas.
Thus, the entire production run of 20 Carrera 2.7 Targas in 1976 was reserved for the Belgian police.
Like all 911s produced that year, these examples benefited from factory-installed corrosion protection, making them the only Carrera 2.7 Targas treated against corrosion from the factory.
