If this smart Mk1 Jaguar looks familiar, it’s because it was the automotive star of several series of ITV’s award-winning drama Endeavour, the hugely popular prequel to Inspector Morse that began in 2012.

Driven on screen by both DC Endeavour Morse (Shaun Evans) and DI Thursday (Roger Allam), it became a recognisable part of the show’s visual identity, providing a direct link to the original Morse Jaguar.

After its television career, the car was purchased directly from MGM Cars at Pinewood Studios by our vendor, making this a rare opportunity to acquire an authentic production-used screen car with verified provenance.
Chassis #S900939 is historically significant in its own right.

Built in April 1956, it was the 939th Mk1 produced out of 19,992 built between September 1955 and September 1959 and is believed to be one of the earliest surviving roadworthy 2.4-litre saloons.
