The Huracán (Spanish for Hurricane) made its official debut at the 2014 Geneva Auto Show, with deliveries commencing later that year.

Its chassis was an entirely new design in - mostly - aluminium, featuring a central tunnel and rear bulkhead in carbon fibre for increased stiffness.
