This 1996 Ferrari F355 Spider was sold new in California and was purchased from Ferrari of San Francisco in 2000 by the seller. Finished in blue over blue leather, the car is powered by a mid-mounted 3.5-liter V8 paired with a six-speed manual transaxle. Additional equipment includes a black soft top, a Challenge-style rear grille, 18″ alloy wheels, an aftermarket stereo, a gated shifter, and a Capristo exhaust. An engine-out service in February 2020 included replacing the timing belts, timing belt bearings, camshaft seals, filters, and battery as well as changing the oil, flushing the coolant, and servicing the powered soft top assembly. This F355 is now offered with a factory toolkit, Ferrari-branded covers, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name. The car is finished in Blu Swaters Metallic (513/C) with a black soft top and matching tonneau cover, and other features include pop-up headlights as well as a Challenge-style rear mesh grille. The powered system for the soft top was serviced in February 2020, and the paintwork and exterior trim are shown up close in the photo gallery below. The front lip was touched up after the majority of the photos were taken, as shown in images 12 through 18. Factory 18″ five-spoke wheels wear yellow prancing horse centers and valve-stem caps and are mounted with 225/40 front and and 265/40 rear Bridgestone Expedia S-01 tires. Each corner is equipped with black-painted four-piston brake calipers. The cabin features power-adjustable seats with dark blue leather upholstery and a contrasting black dashboard. The blue carpeting is protected by matching floor mats, and a fire extinguisher is mounted in the passenger-side footwell. Additional equipment includes a gated shifter, drilled-aluminum pedal pads, automatic climate control, and an aftermarket stereo. Sticky interior switchgear has been addressed and the ashtray was recently replaced, according to the seller. A four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows just under 23k miles, approximately 14k of which have been added by the seller since 2000. The mid-mounted 3.5-liter V8 was rated for 375 horsepower in stock trim. An engine-out service in February 2020 at Blackhorse Motor Sports of Los Angeles, California, included changing the oil and coolant as well as replacing the timing belts, timing belt bearings, camshaft seals, fuel filter, engine air filter, front and rear hood struts, and battery. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. A Capristo Stage 1 exhaust system is said to have been added along with Hyperflow catalytic converters. The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage, with two owners in California since June 1996. A January 2021 entry lists mileage of 100k, which is inconsistent with earlier entries and the odometer reading. A walk around video as well as a videos showcasing the convertible top and driving can be viewed below.
