This 1986 Ferrari 412 is one of 270 GT models produced with a five-speed manual transmission mated to its 4.9-liter V12, and it is finished in red over beige leather. Features include 2+2 seating, pop-up headlights, metric 415mm TRX wheels, air conditioning, power windows, self-leveling rear suspension, and aftermarket rear mufflers. It was reportedly delivered to its first owner by Shelton Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and it was acquired by the selling dealer in 2015. A service in July 2020 included replacement of suspension, brake, and ignition components. This 412 is now offered in California with factory literature, a parts catalog, service records dating back to 1994, spare parts, a toolkit, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title. The car is finished in (300/6) with brushed aluminum trim. Exterior equipment includes pop-up headlights, front and rear fog lights, and quad exhaust outlets. The front bumper cover was refinished in 2015, and a front fender is thought to have been repainted during prior ownership. Close-ups of the body and trim can be viewed in the gallery below. Factory 415mm TRX metric wheels wear 240/55 Michelin Radial X tires, and a matching spare is located beneath the trunk floor. Replacement front sway bar mounts were installed in July 2020 along with the hydraulic ram for the self-leveling rear suspension. The brake master cylinder, hoses, and fluid were changed at the same time. The 2+2 cabin features seats and door panels trimmed in beige leather, while the dashboard and center console are trimmed in contrasting brown leather. Red carpets line the cabin, and equipment includes a leather-wrapped MOMO steering wheel, air conditioning, power windows, and a fire extinguisher. The stereo does not work and the driver’s seat leather is worn. Veglia instrumentation includes a 180-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. The five-digit odometer indicates under 43k miles, approximately 3k of which were added by the selling dealer. The 4.9-liter V12 features Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and has been fitted with aftermarket rear mufflers. The voltage regulator was replaced in 2015, and a service in July 2020 included an oil change and replacement of the air filters, spark plugs, battery, and coolant reservoir tank. Results of a leakdown and compression test performed at the same time are shown in the gallery below. The car has not passed California emissions testing, and as a result cannot be sold to an in-state private party buyer. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. Additional images of the underside and brake components can be viewed in the gallery. The sale includes an owner’s manual, service records dating to 1994, a parts catalog, and four keys as well as spare parts and a leather roll-bag containing a toolkit. The September 2020 Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Florida from its first entry in June 1986 through its most recent in September 2014.
