This 1971 Datsun 240Z is powered by a 2.4-liter straight-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission and was repainted in grey over a black interior under previous ownership. Additional modifications include triple Weber carburetors, an exhaust header, BC Racing coilovers, Minilite-style wheels, a front air dam, aftermarket mirrors, and more. This S30 was acquired by the seller in April 2019 and is offered with a handful of service records as well as a clean California title in the seller’s name. The seller states that the body was previously Safari Gold, and was repainted in its current grey under previous ownership. A front air dam and aftermarket mirrors have been added along with modern headlamps. The rear hatch features an early-style vertical defroster grid. Black 15″ Rota RKR wheels are mounted with Kumho tires showing 2016 date codes. The left headlight bucket is cracked, and the radio antenna is missing from the left quarter panel. The interior is trimmed in black vinyl and retains diamond-stitched upholstery on the center console and rear panels. The floors are shown with the carpeting removed in the gallery below. A carpeted mat is fitted over the cracked dash pad. A woodgrain-rimmed steering wheel fronts factory gauges including a 160-mph speedometer and a five-digit odometer showing approximately 86k miles. Total mileage is unknown. An aftermarket stereo has been fitted in the center stack. The 2.4-liter L24 straight-six features an aftermarket fuel pump feeding triple Weber carburetors, which the seller states were recently tuned. The water pump, and heater hoses are said to have been replaced, along with the clutch slave cylinder. An exhaust header and custom exhaust tubing leads to a single muffler exiting behind the rear bumper. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The suspension has been lowered on BC Racing adjustable coilovers and features control arms from Techno Toy Tuning as well as other modifications. A walk-around video is shown below.
