This 1980 Chrysler Sno-Runner is powered by a 134cc two-stroke single driving a cleated rear track through a replacement 3.5″ centrifugal clutch and a 15-tooth main sprocket. Additional equipment includes motorcycle-style hand controls, adjustable foot pegs, alternator-powered lights, and breakerless ignition as well as an updated head gasket and a high-performance exhaust system. The machine was acquired by the seller in December 2020, and service in preparation for the sale included a carburetor rebuild along with replacement of the drive track, air and fuel filters, spark plug, and fuel lines. This Sno-Runner is offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, spare parts, a wood stand, and a Pennsylvania bill of sale. The welded aluminum frame is finished in orange with white graphics, and a 1.3-gallon fuel tank is built into the backbone tube. Other features include four-position adjustable foot pegs, a Chrysler-embossed solo seat, and fiberglass-reinforced molded nylon skis. The positive-steering front ski is designed to dig into the snow when cornering, and braking is from a band on the clutch drum. The three-inch-wide replacement drive track features 21 molded snow cleats, a high-impact polyethylene cover, and tension adjustment. Removal of five quick-release pins breaks the vehicle down into three major components for transport or storage. An automatic-on headlight sits ahead of black handlebars equipped with a brake lever and a high-/low-beam switch on the left in addition to a twist-grip throttle and a kill switch on the right. The 134cc Power Bee single was made by Chrysler Marine and is equipped with a recoil starter as well as a Tillotson 320A carburetor with an integral fuel pump. Modifications installed under previous ownership include a single head gasket and a free-flow exhaust system that are said to increase output from the factory-rated seven horsepower. Power is transferred to the drive track through a replacement 3.5″ centrifugal clutch and a 15-tooth sprocket. A carburetor rebuild was carried out in February 2021 along with replacement of the air and fuel filters, spark plug, and fuel lines. The seller estimates having ridden the machine approximately two hours since. An extra starter rope, hand grips, front and middle skis, master chain links, drive track cover and cleats, decals, gaskets, and brake band are among spare parts included in the sale. A start-up and ride-by video is provided below.
