This 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer is finished in metallic green over a two-tone interior and powered by a replacement GM Performance 383ci V8 paired with an automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The truck is said to have been previously owned by a general manager of a Chevrolet dealership in California, which is the same facility that installed the replacement engine as well as new front and rear differential gears. Additional modifications include a Skyjacker 6″ lift kit, Nitro shocks, power-adjustable front seats, a Holley carburetor, an Edelbrock intake manifold, Doug’s exhaust headers, a Pioneer touchscreen head unit, LED taillights, and green-painted instrumentation. This K5 was acquired by the seller in 2016 and is now offered at no reserve with a removable black hardtop, service records from 2015 onward, and a clean California title in the seller’s name. The truck was delivered from the factory in Ochre (151110) and was repainted in its current metallic green during previous ownership. Exterior features include chrome bumpers and trim, black Chevrolet tailgate lettering, and LED taillights. A crack is visible above the right rear wheel. The included removable hardtop has undergone a color change from white to black. Black Fuel wheels are mounted over manually-locking front hubs and wear Toyo A/T Open Country tires that show date codes from 2015. A Skyjacker Softride 6″ lift kit and Nitro shocks were added during previous ownership. The brake master cylinder, booster, front rotors and pads, front wheel bearings, rear wheel cylinders, and rear drums with associated hardware were replaced in 2016. The cabin features painted surfaces that match the exterior along with power-adjustable front bucket seats and a rear bench that have been reupholstered in black leather with green inserts. Bedlining material covers the floors. Amenities include lap belts for the front and rear occupants, a heater, and a Pioneer touchscreen head unit. An aftermarket three-spoke steering wheel frames green instrumentation consisting of a 100-mph speedometer and gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 32k miles, of which approximately 3k have been added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown. The factory 350ci V8 was replaced in 2015 with a GM Performance 383ci that has been equipped with a Holley carburetor, an Edelbrock intake manifold, and finned valve covers. Doug’s headers and a 2.5″ Flowmaster exhaust system were fitted in July 2016, while oil change was performed in 2020. Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels via an automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The front and rear differential gears, bearings, and gaskets and seals were replaced in 2016. Cold-start, driving, and acceleration videos are viewable below.
