This 1964 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was acquired by the owning dealer in 2020 following a period of extended storage, and subsequent refurbishment work included fitting a replacement 350ci V8, a rebuild of the four-speed manual transmission, and replacement of the fuel tank, exhaust system, tires, and the brake, clutch, and suspension components. Features include a removable hardtop, a vintage-style modern stereo, and refurbished wheel covers. Driven approximately 500 miles since completion of the refurbishment, this C2 is offered by the seller on behalf of the owning dealer with a summary of work performed and a clean South Carolina title. The car was delivered in Riverside Red (923AA) and repainted during prior ownership according to the selling dealer. Details include recently rechromed split bumpers, cast rocker-panel accents, and faux fender vents. Wear and cracking are noted on the portions of the finish, and this example was equipped from the factory without a soft top according to the seller. The color-matched hardtop is shown mounted in the gallery. Steel 15″ wheels wear refurbished faux knock-off covers and 215/70 Coker red-stripe tires that were fitted by the selling dealer, who notes the braking system was serviced with replacement hardware in preparation for the sale. The rear shocks were also replaced. Finished from the factory in red vinyl (490AB), the interior now features black upholstery with color-coordinated door panels and interior trimmings. A vintage-style stereo is fitted in the stock location and is equipped with a USB port. Lap belts are provided for both occupants. Instrumentation includes a tachometer, a 160-mph speedometer, supplementary gauges, and a five-digit odometer that indicates approximately 28k miles. True mileage is unknown. The seller states that the 350ci V8 engine was sourced from a newer Chevelle model and is said to have been rebuilt prior to its installation. The engine stamping contains an CGC suffix and is shown up close in the gallery below. Service conducted in preparation for the sale is said to have included the installation of a replacement clutch kit, fuel tank, sending unit, and exhaust system. The engine is paired with a rebuilt four-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. Additional images showing the frame, floors, and suspension components are provided in the gallery. A summary of recent work performed that totals over $15,700 has been provided by the selling dealer.
