This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is powered by a replacement 327ci V8 paired with a three-speed column-shifted manual transmission and has been refinished in black over a red interior. Equipment includes unassisted steering and brakes, Weld wheels, an aftermarket stereo, a Holley carburetor, and an electric cooling fan. This Bel Air was acquired by the seller five years ago and is now offered with a clean Missouri title in the seller’s name. The seller states that the body was refinished in its current black under previous ownership in 2005, at which time the front and rear glass is said to have been replaced. The exterior features a white striped quarter panel inset, Bel Air trim, and chrome moldings. Weld wheels measure 15″ in diameter and are mounted with staggered-width Goodyear Eagle ST tires showing pre-2000 date codes, which should be replaced due to age. The car is equipped with unassisted steering and brakes. The ball joints, coil springs, shocks, and suspension bushings are said to have been replaced. The interior features front and rear bench seats trimmed in red cloth and vinyl with matching door panels and carpets. A custom center console holds an aftermarket stereo with a cassette deck as well as three AutoMeter auxiliary gauges. A pushbutton AM radio remains in the dash but has been disconnected. Instrumentation includes factory-style temperature and fuel level gauges as well as a tachometer under the dash. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 3k miles, all of which are said to have been added following the refurbishment. Total mileage is unknown. The fuel gauge is inaccurate and the clock is inoperable. The 327ci V8 is said to have been rebuilt and installed under previous ownership, though supporting records are unavailable. Equipment includes a finned Edelbrock air cleaner and rocker covers, a Holley carburetor, an aluminum intake manifold, “double hump” cylinder heads, and a replacement radiator with an electric cooling fan. The seller states that an oil change was performed in August 2019. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed column-shifted manual transmission. The fuel tank, brake lines, and exhaust system were reportedly replaced in 2010. A driving video is shown below.
