This 1967 Buick GS400 is one of 422 convertibles produced for the model year that were powered by a 400ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The current owner commissioned a cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment that was completed in 2014, during which the body was refinished in Violet Red Metallic, the front bucket seats were retrimmed in black vinyl, and the black convertible top was replaced. Additional equipment includes power steering, front disc brakes, 14″ Rallye wheels with red-stripe tires, a center console with a factory tachometer, a tilt steering column, and an AM/FM stereo with a trunk-mounted CD changer. The car was subsequently sold to a friend in 2017 and repurchased by the current owner in 2020, after which an oil change was performed. This GS400 is now offered on behalf of the current owner with a soft top boot and a clean North Carolina title. The car was finished in Burgundy Mist (N) from the factory and was refinished in Violet Red Metallic during a 2014 refurbishment, at which time a replacement power-operated black soft top was installed. Equipment includes chrome front and rear bumpers, front fender trim, wheel lip moldings, as dual side mirrors as well as GS400 badges and dual exhaust outlets. Close-up photos of the paint and chrome are provided in the gallery. A matching top boot and additional paint from the refinish, including the color mixing codes, are included in the sale, and the seller has provided videos of the soft top and . Chrome-finished 14″ Rallye wheels feature black-painted pockets and wear 225/70 BFGoodrich Radial T/A red-stripe tires that the seller states were installed in 2014, and a matching spare wheel and tire are stored in the trunk. The car is equipped with power steering and power-assisted front vented disc and rear drum brakes. The bucket front seats were retrimmed in black vinyl, and the cabin features a full-length center console with a factory tachometer. Amenities include power windows, a heater, lap belts, a polished Hurst shifter, GS-logo rubber floor mats, and a vintage-look aftermarket AM/FM stereo with a trunk-mounted CD changer. The three-spoke steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column and frames a 120-mph horizontal speedometer, a fuel gauge, warning lights, and an analog clock. The five-digit odometer shows 54k miles, approximately 2k of which were added by the seller following the refurbishment. Total mileage is unknown. The 400ci V8 was factory rated at 340 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque and is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and a ‘Star Wars’ air-cleaner housing that was unique to 1967 models. An aftermarket aluminum radiator has been fitted, and an oil change was performed during 2020. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a factory Positraction limited-slip differential that the seller states retains a 1967 date code. Additional underside photos are presented in the gallery below. Decoding the fender tag reveals the following information: Driving videos are presented above and below.
