The great arrival of the Brigand (and non-turbocharged Britannia) saw Bristol cars adopt the names of the once famous Bristol Aeroplane Company. The Brigand had a Rotomeister turbocharger added to its mighty Chrysler V8 engine as well as a torque converter to cope with the extra performance which saw the Brigand capable of a top speed of 150mph, particularly quick for such a large sports coupé.
