This 2002 BMW Z8 is finished in Jet Black over black leather and powered by a 4.9-liter S62 V8 mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes staggered-width 18” wheels, a body-color removable hard top, a power-operated black soft top, heated and power-adjustable seats, and a Harmon Kardon sound system with CD changer. The car was first registered in Texas and later spent time in California and Ohio before the current owner’s acquisition in 2015 from the president of the board of trustees of the BMW CCA Foundation. Recent service consisted of replacing the hood sensor and driver’s window seal. This Z8 has 26k miles and is offered on dealer consignment with service records, owner’s manuals, a hardtop stand and cover, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Texas title. The car is finished in Jet Black (668) and features a power-operated soft top, xenon headlights, neon tail lights, chromed mirrors and side vents, and twin exhaust outlets exiting through the rear bumper cover. A body-colored hardtop that was fitted with a replacement headliner and package tray lining is also included and shown in the gallery below, along with the matching cover and stand. Split-spoke 18″ forged wheels were unique to the Z8 and are mounted with 245/45 front and 275/40 rear Michelin Pilot Super Sport A/S Plus tires. Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), and All-Season Traction (ASC) were standard equipment, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel ventilated disc brakes. The interior is trimmed in black leather with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include heated power-adjustable seats, piano black trim, air conditioning, power windows and locks, leather-wrapped roll hoops, and a factory Harmon Kardon sound system with a six-disc CD changer. The driver’s window seal was reportedly replaced in preparation for the sale. Centrally mounted instrumentation is angled toward the driver and includes a 155-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an inset analog clock, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer shows 26k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership. The 4.9-liter S62 V8 features double VANOS variable valve timing and was factory-rated at 394 horsepower and 368 lb-ft torque. The selling dealer states that the hood sensor was recently replaced. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. Additional underbody photos are provided in the gallery below. Owner’s manuals are included in the sale, along with a service binder, accessories, a tool kit, and Z8 coffee table book. The Carfax report shows history in Texas, Ohio, and California, and lists no accidents or other damage.
