This 1998 BMW M3 convertible reportedly was purchased by the seller as a certified-preowned vehicle from BMW Seattle in January 2001. Finished in Titanium Silver over a black leather interior, this example features a 3.2-liter S52 inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission, and the odometer now shows 83k miles. Service over the past 5k miles has included a new battery, power steering reservoir, accessory belts, replacing the vinyl rear window, and more as described below. This E36 M3 convertible is now offered at no reserve with a Carfax report, service records, and a clean Washington title in the seller’s name. The body is finished in Titanium Silver metallic ( 354). A damage report noted on the Carfax report in 2006 was caused when the car rolled forward on a flatbed truck while being delivered to a shop, according to the seller. Repairs were made to the left front fender as a result, and documentation of the initial estimate and completed work by Salatino’s Auto Body in Tacoma, Washington may be reviewed in the photo gallery below along with several panel VIN stickers. This convertible is equipped with 17″ M Contour wheels. The rear tires tires were replaced in 2006 at 63k miles while the  front tires show date codes from 2001. Additional photos in the gallery show the black convertible top, which received a new tensioner and folding straps in 2007 and a new vinyl rear window in 2013. The seller notes that the passenger-side fog lamp is cracked. A windshield crack was repaired in 2001. The interior is upholstered in black leather with BMW M tri-color accents on the seatbacks. Equipment includes automatic climate control, cruise control, and a BMW cassette stereo as well as power windows, mirrors, and locks. The passenger-side front seat had an electric motor replaced in 2013. Just under 83k miles are shown on the digital odometer, approximately 45k of which have been added by the seller since 2001. The 3.2-liter S52B32 inline-six was factory rated at 240 horsepower and is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. A new clutch kit was installed by BMW Seattle at 57k miles in 2002. Work performed at 80k miles in 2013 included replacing the steering-pump reservoir, accessory belts, air cleaner, and serpentine-belt idler pulley, as noted on an included $6k invoice from Bristow’s Exclusive Auto Repair in Tacoma, Washington. Service in June 2019 consisted of changing the engine oil and replacing the battery. Four struts as well as the rear shocks and mounts were replaced in 2013, with an alignment was conducted thereafter. The seller notes a brake service was also performed in 2013, and additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery below. The Carfax report shows no accidents and notes the aforementioned incident of damage in February 2006, while registrations in Washington are noted since new. Records dating back to the seller’s purchase in January 2001 are included. A video demonstration of the power top is presented above.
