1987 BMW 635CSi
With the iconic predecessor 'E9' shaped coupés now being highly coveted within collections around the world, it is understandable that desirability of the successor (E24) cars, launched in 1978, has been on the increase. This 1987 example has silver/grey metallic coachwork with navy blue sports leather. There are no cracks on the dashboard which is one of the weak spots on BMW's from this period and the leather remains firm and well presented throughout. There is an electric factory steel sunroof and switchable four-speed automatic gearbox with sports and economy settings, electric windows and an onboard computer. First registered to a lease company, the second owner was a lady who purchased the car some 22 years ago. She gave up driving the car earlier this year and the car was registered in the summer to her son at the same address. Old and new V5's showing all ownership details are present. The Odometer presently displays 156,000 miles. Several Service history receipts have been retained along with a few MoT test certificates spanning her long ownership, sufficient to verify the mileage. The car was maintained by a North London BMW dealership for the first ten years or so and more latterly by J & D BMW specialists in Buckinghamshire. On average the car has only clocked up 1,000 miles annually in the past six years. The correct BMW Owners Information wallet is with the car along with two sets of keys. Central locking operates with the correct reassuring thud and the ignition barrel key is still the same key as that which locks the doors. The vehicle has not been modified from original, delivers plenty of power and provides comfortable and reliable transport. Currently taxed until the end of June 2014, this fine example provides an instantly useable route into capable and stylish classic BMW ownership.
