This 1979 BMW 635CSi is a European-market example that was imported to the US during prior ownership and spent time in California, Nevada, and Minnesota before moving to Texas. Finished in Fjord Blue Metallic over dark blue leather upholstery, the car is powered by a 3.5-liter M90 inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 16″ Enkei wheels, European-market bumpers, Bilstein shocks, a short shifter lever, and a Kenwood CD stereo. Work since the seller’s acquisition in 2019 included a repaint, a refresh of the interior, and replacement of the valve cover gasket, intake manifold gasket, and tires along with brake, suspension, ignition, cooling, and fuel system components. This E24 is now offered with recent service records, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name. The seller states that the car was refinished in its factory Fjord Blue Metallic in February 2021 to address fading. Features include slim bumpers, a front air dam, a rear spoiler, tinted windows, chrome mirror housings, and C-pillar mounted Roundels. The seller has replaced the front grilles, turn signal lenses, taillights, and the rear bumper rubber rub strip. Close-up photos of the body and trim can be viewed in the gallery below. Two-piece 16″ Enkei wheels wear Falken Pro G5 Sport tires mounted in 2021, and a metric 415mm BBS RS007 spare wheel is located beneath the trunk floor. During current ownership braided stainless-steel brake hoses were fitted and the front pads and rotors, rear rotors, and parking brake shoes were replaced along with the steering center link. The suspension is fitted with Bilstein shocks all around and was refreshed with replacement control arms, tie rods, subframe mounts, and sway bar end links. An alignment was performed in March 2021. The cabin features seats trimmed in dark blue leather with matching carpets and door panels. Equipment includes electric windows, a short shifter lever topped with a wooden knob, a manually operated sunroof, and a Kenwood CD stereo. According to the seller, the front seat leather was replaced in 2020 along with the shifter boot and the leather on the steering wheel and rear armrest. The rear seat leather was re-dyed and portions were replaced, and the rear parcel shelf was also reupholstered. Cracks in the dashboard top are shown in the gallery below. The four-spoke steering wheel with a replacement wrap and contrasting red stitching fronts a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows just over 96k miles, 200 of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown. The 3.5-liter M90 inline-six sends power to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. Maintenance during current ownership has included cleaning of the fuel injectors and replacement of the following: The seller states that the mounts for the engine, differential, and transmission have been replaced along with the chassis and shifter bushings. Additional underside images can be viewed in the gallery. The April 2021 Carfax report shows history in California, Nevada, and Minnesota and lists no accidents or other damage from its first entry in October 1991 through its most recent in June 2018. The car was designated as a gross polluter in California in 1999 and 2000.
