This 1989 BMW 325i was purchased five years ago and has since been converted into an ICSCC Pro3-spec race car by its seller, the proprietor of Portland, Oregon BMW tuner Rhom Innovations. Power is from a race-prepped 2.5L M20 six and equipment includes a full roll cage with Nascar bars, adjustable coilover suspension with Koni dampers, a variable-ramp LSD, a Traq Mate data computer, onboard fire suppression, and more. The car was serviced in preparation for the sale, and the seller describes it as race-ready and legal for NASA and SCCA competition with an SCCA log book and roll cage number. Documents pertaining to the conversion, competition history, and recent maintenance are included and the car is offered with an Oregon bill of sale. An exterior repaint was commissioned by the seller from original Cirrus Blue to the darker shade seen here. Bodywork remains largely stock per Pro3 rules, and the finish is said to show some dings and scuffs from competition use. Foglight openings have been converted to brake cooling ducts, and the stock brakes have been augmented with Centric rotors and Carbotech brake pads. Team Dynamics 15” racing wheels wear 225/45 Toyo Proxes RR tires. The interior has been stripped and race-prepped with a single Sparco bucket and four-point harness. A welded-in roll cage with NASCAR bars protects the driver, and the onboard fire suppression system is said to be up-to-date. A Coolshirt driver cooling system resides near the transmission tunnel. A Traqmate computer is mounted atop the steering column while AutoMeter digital gauges monitor oil pressure as well as oil and water temperatures. A quick-release steering column, MOMO race wheel, and AKG shifter replace the stock components. Power steering and ABS have been deleted. The original color can be seen inside the trunk, which houses a spare wheel, a battery, and an electric fuel pump. Power comes from a 2.5L M20 inline-six that was prepped for racing by Loyning’s Engine Service in Portland. Details of the build include a Rhom Innovations fuel system, header and exhaust system as well as an aluminum radiator and catch can. The rebuilt 5-speed manual transmission is equipped with a Clutch Masters racing clutch. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a variable-ramp limited-slip differential from Diffsonline, while suspension modifications include Koni double-adjustable coilovers and Ground Control camber plates as well as aluminum suspension, subframe, and differential bushings from AKG Motorsports. The underside is protected with a Raceskids skid plate.
