This 1958 Austin-Healey 100-6 is a 2+2 BN4 model that was built on July 6, 1957 and refurbished in the 1990s. It was repainted in Colorado Red over black in 2017 and is equipped with a black vinyl interior, a black soft top, and a Smiths heater. The 2.6-liter inline-six is backed by a 4-speed manual gearbox with overdrive, and service performed since 2016 is said to have included a radiator flush along with the installation of new ignition points and wires, spark plugs, a hydraulic reservoir, fan belt, and a stainless steel exhaust system. This Big Healey is offered by the selling dealer with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, a jack and spare tire, service records, and a clean North Carolina title. The body was refurbished in the 1990s by a previous owner with replacement fenders, door skins, rocker panels, floor panels, and bumpers, along with a new trunk lid and trunk floor. According to the selling dealer, the car was stripped, primed, and repainted in 2017 in Glasurit Colorado Red over black, the car’s original colors per the BMIHT certificate. A black soft top is equipped. Replacement 15″ wire wheels from Victoria British have been installed and wear 185/55 Doral tires with 2017 date codes. New brake drums, shoes, and master and slave cylinders were installed during the refurbishment along with rebuilt lever shocks. The wheel cylinders were repaired in May 2017. The interior was also refreshed in the 1990s and features seating for four trimmed in black vinyl with red piping. Replacement black carpets and door panels have been installed, and the car features a Smiths heater. Instrumentation includes a 200-km/h Smiths speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, a multi-function gauge for oil pressure and water temperature, and a Jaeger fuel level gauge. The 5-digit odometer shows 70k miles. Power is from a 2.6-liter inline-six, and service performed during previous ownership in the 1990s is said to have included machining of the camshaft and crankshaft, the addition of an aluminum radiator and oil cooler, and the installation of a new fuel tank and lines, water pump, generator, voltage regulator, wiring harness, overdrive delay, clutch, pressure plate, and throwout bearing. The 4-speed manual gearbox is equipped with overdrive and was reportedly rebuilt during previous ownership by Healey Surgeons of Takoma Park, Maryland, along with the steering box and rear differential. Service in 2016 included a radiator flush and new ignition points, rotor, cap, and wires, as well as a new hydraulic reservoir, stainless steel exhaust, fan belt, and spark plugs. A jack and spare tire are included in the sale in addition to partial service records. The British Motor Industry Trust certificate shows original colors and equipment, along with initial delivery in New York.
